Ravedio supports both encrypted and plaintext messaging paths. Private channels and known-contact direct messages are encrypted on-device.
Intro or Open DMs are plaintext by design until users exchange keys. They exist to make first contact possible on a crowded offline mesh, but they should not be treated as confidential.
Imported festival map overlays, downloaded venue maps, and most local mesh history live on your phone unless you explicitly enable backup or sync features.
Safety and Compliance
Ravedio is an off-grid communication tool, not an emergency or life-safety device. Message delivery can be affected by terrain, congestion, device state, and user configuration.
You are responsible for operating your hardware and radios in compliance with local rules and for choosing the right privacy mode for the type of conversation you are having.
